Terms of Use

Use of the site
You're welcome to read the site, sign up for launch notifications, contact us, and use the directory information for personal trip-planning. Don't attempt to disrupt or exploit the site (no automated scraping at high frequency, security probing, or attempts to overload our infrastructure). If you want bulk access to data, contact us.
Information accuracy
We do our best to keep place information accurate, but conditions in the outdoors change — trails close, water levels shift, parking rules update. Always verify current conditions with the relevant land manager (NPS, state parks department, ranger district) before heading out, and use your own judgment about safety. RoamFound is informational; we do not warrant any specific outdoor experience or condition.
No warranties
The site is provided on an "as is" basis. We disclaim warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted availability to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, RoamFound and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site or any visit to a place described on it.
Outbound links
We link to third-party sites (state parks, recreation.gov, accommodation booking platforms, Wikipedia, etc.) for your convenience. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites. Some outbound links to accommodation are affiliate links — we earn a small commission if you book through them, at no extra cost to you.
Data attribution
Place data is sourced from OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL), the U.S. Geological Survey, the National Park Service, and Wikipedia. We attribute these sources in our footer and on individual pages where applicable.
Changes
We may update these terms; the "Last updated" date above will change when we do. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, where the site operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
